Main purpose and scope of the job
Pickering products are used in the high-performance electronics test and verification applications. The Products are based on PXI and LXI standards. Products are using aerospace, automotive, military, electronics manufacturing, medical devices industries.
The job role is mainly working along side software team in a high-pressure environment on support requests from customers and production area. The role is also concerned with improving the existing software applications and generating new ideas/applications for improving the customer experience.
This is an ideal opportunity for a self-driven professional who wants to work on product development/support projects in a collaborative environment.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and support customer problems.
- Support production issues related to software tasks.
- Maintain current software applications.
- Generate ideas for making new software products for the customer.
- Generating customer-oriented documentation.
- Test and debug hardware-dependent software applications.
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of electronics and programming.
- Good logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of interfacing with PC hardware.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly effective and thrives in a dynamic environment with multiple, changing priorities.
- Very good documentation skills.
Beneficial
- Knowledge of Embedded Systems and Communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, etc).
- Ability to understand schematics.
