ROLE PURPOSE
Reporting to the Engineering Test Manager, the Electronics Test Engineer is responsible for:
- In depth testing of new and legacy products to the highest standard.
- Create C++ software applications for engineering and production test.
- Solving complex problems using your own initiative.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform technical tests and investigations on a range of new and legacy products using equipment such as:
Virtual Network Analysers, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies (including HV), and more…
- Write C++ code in Visual Studio to automate tests and create graphical user interfaces.
- Produce detailed test reports of new products and organise results for future viewing.
- Communication with various departments to resolve any issues discovered during test.
- Soldering cables/connectors used for testing, replacing and fault finding of faulty and/or missing components.
- The ability to work under pressure and self-manage multiple tasks that are assigned to you by the test manager
This position requires a wide range of skills, and you will often be working on multiple projects simultaneously, so the ability to self-manage assigned projects to the highest standard will be essential.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum BTEC level 3 / A Levels in an engineering discipline, with a high electronic content or experience in a similar role.
- 3 years working in a previous engineering position
- Working with high voltage power supplies
