What You Can Expect as an Electronics Test Engineer at Pickering:
The Electronics Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring all new products meet the required specifications before they are commercially released. This will involve running a series of tests and measurements on all new modules to be added to the product range, whilst managing multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- In depth testing of new and legacy products to the highest standard.
- Solving complex problems using your own initiative.
- Create C++ software applications for engineering and production test.
Required Qualifications:
- HNC/HND in electronic engineering
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of experience in electronics testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in a related discipline (desirable but not essential)
- HNC/HND in electronic engineering
Key Skills:
- Hands on experience in analog and digital electronics, including schematics, signal processing, and debugging.
- Proficiency in programming with C++ (or similar), particularly for automated test systems, although training will be given.
- Familiarity with testing tools and equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, and logic analysers.
