Global Marketing Executive

Role Purpose

The Global Marketing Executive plays a vital role in supporting Pickering’s growth by executing creative, data-driven campaigns across digital platforms. Focused on lead generation and brand visibility, this role contributes to the success of marketing strategies through content creation, campaign analysis, social media engagement, and website optimisation.

Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Marketing Executive ensures consistent, high-quality output across all marketing channels. By helping to drive engagement, support events, and monitor performance, this role directly supports Pickering’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and creatively executing marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels to generate additional leads and sales.
  • Create successful targeted email campaigns.
  • Regularly review and update Google Ads account campaigns.
  • Regularly review Google analytics and the website performance.
  • Support our external PR agency.
  • Create quarterly online sales reports.
  • Analysing and reporting campaign data to ensure optimal performance of marketing activities.
  • Building campaigns across our portfolio of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube, using our social media management software.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, particularly the Technical Publications/Marketing Materials department, to ensure content is always created to a high standard.
  • Assist the manager and web developer by regularly updating content on the back end of the websites to drive inbound traffic and lead generation.
  • Offer marketing knowledge and advice to help build campaigns.
  • Supporting international events to ensure all marketing materials and product demos are packed and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Produce creative content, including graphics, videos, brochures, and blog posts.
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative support.
  • Keep the advertising schedule up to date.
  • Monitor and report on competitor marketing activity, making suggestions/observations where appropriate.
  • Manage marketing materials stock.

Education:

  • Ideally a bachelor’s degree in marketing or business studies.

Experience:

  • A degree in a business, marketing or digital creative design discipline would be desirable or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Previous proven experience in digital marketing is essential.

  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), preferably WordPress.

  • Knowledge of PPC/Google Ads and Google Analytics.

  • Knowledge of SEO practices.

  • Understanding of eCommerce and evolving digital technologies.

Key Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail, ensuring all external content/communications are accurate.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.

  • Ability to analyse data and share findings with relevant colleagues.

  • Enthusiasm for learning our product catalogue, basic technical terminology and digital marketing software tools.

  • Passion for learning about and improving the practice of digital marketing in a B2B environment.

  • Creative mindset would be desirable.

  • Proficient in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

  • Experience in Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) is beneficial but not essential.
