This position will be based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, UK

Main purpose and scope of the job:

The IT Support Engineer will provide IT support to end users across all Pickering sites, assist with technical projects and maintenance, and accurately document IT systems

Position:

Reports to: IT Manager

This Position Has Responsibility For:

• Providing IT Support across all levels (1st, 2nd, 3rd) onsite and to those working remotely, from time to time working out of hours and over weekends
• Administration and maintenance of core IT services such as Office365, Active Directory, VPN, Smartsheet, fileservers.
• Installation of software and computers to company standards.
• Maintenance and further development of IT Documentation.
• Software asset management
• Assisting IT Manager with technical projects, maintenance and upgrades

Position Requirements:

• Support end users running Windows 10 and Mac OS X, Office365, VPN, Sage X3, Mimecast, Smartsheet, Salesforce
• Perform hardware upgrades or repairs on user systems
• Build PCs/Laptops for new members of staff
• Support IT Manager in technical projects and documentation
  
  

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills):

• 1+ year’s experience in IT Support role
• Confident in installing, troubleshooting and maintaining Windows 10, and Windows Server OS.
• Ability to use initiative and find resolution to complex problems by using logic, research, and asking for help when required
• Confident in supporting users remotely out of normal hours, and being on hand to provide urgent support when needed
• Experience in prioritizing workloads and working under pressure from time to time.
