High Channel Count PXI/PXIe Microwave Multiplexers Family
Introducing our expanded range of PXI and PXIe multiplexer (MUX) modules (40/42-788). These modules are based on industry-leading, superior-quality Radiall mechanical microwave switches suitable for constructing complex microwave switching networks and switching 50 Ω signals from 8GHz up to 40 GHz. Versatile switching configurations are available with single or dual SP8T, SP10T or SP12T multiplexers. They are also available in terminated and unterminated SP8T single and SP10T or SP12T single and dual configurations, with relays mounted on the front panel.
Ideal for High Channel Count Applications
All three relay sizes are available in 18 GHz and high power 8 GHz formats with additions of 22 GHz SP10T and 40 GHz SP8T variants. As well as microwave switching applications, these modules also suit many uses in the RF spectrum, where extremely low insertion loss and ultra-high isolation are critical. The MUX range offers an internal relay termination feature that can improve signal integrity by routing unused signals to a 50 Ω load. Remote versions are also available, which can support one or two multiplexers in a dual-slot PXI or PXIe module. The panel or remote mount option enables users to place switches at the most convenient location for their application. We also offer a full range of compatible standard and custom cables, connectors, and breakouts to support the new family.
Our eBIRST test tools support the 40/42-788 modules and can be used for preventative maintenance tests to determine if relays are approaching end-of-life. In addition, eBIRST allows fast fault finding, thus minimizing system downtime. A spare relay is fitted to each module to enable easy on-site servicing by the user.
The 40/42-788 family is supplied with drivers that allow support in all popular software programming environments and operating systems. All standard products manufactured include a three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support.
