This position will be based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, UK
Main purpose and scope of the job
The job role is mainly concerned with supporting different software-related queries from customers and the production area. The position is also concerned with improving the existing software applications and generating new ideas/applications for improving the customer experience.
Reports to: Software Manager
Role requirements
- Create software applications.
- Maintain existing software applications.
- Analyze and support customer queries.
- Support production queries related to software tasks.
- Generating customer-oriented documentation.
- Generate ideas for making new software products for the customer.
Skills and experience:
- Understanding of programming with C / C++ on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Experience with IDEs like Visual Studio/Eclipse.
- Experience of interfacing with PC hardware.
- Knowledge about basic electronics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skill.
- “Can-Do” attitude.
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of NI LabVIEW, Veristand.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving development environment.
- Knowledge of object-oriented languages.
- Knowledge of international standards for instrument control, such as PXI, LXI, VISA, IVI.
- Any experience in the Test and Measurement industry.
