Pickering Interfaces to Showcase Latest Switching Solutions
at Aerospace Electrical Systems Expo in Long Beach, CA


Pickering Interfaces, a leading provider of signal switching and conditioning solutions, will be showcasing their latest switching solutions at the Aerospace Electrical Systems Expo on May 19 – 21, booth 4049, in the Aerospace Testing Zone.

 

The latest products being showcased in the booth include:pxi-lxi-pci-ebirst-tools

  • PXI Reed Relay Matrix (40-533B) - this new high-density reed relay matrix is available as either a 64x4 or 64x2 matrix in either 1-pole or 2-pole formats and is capable of 1A 150VDC/100VAC 15W hot switching. It is supported by Pickering’s Diagnostic Test Tools – BIRST and eBIRST.
  • eBIRST Switching System Test Tools – Designed specifically for Pickering’s PXI, PCI or LXI (Ethernet) products, these tools quickly test a switching system and identify the faulty relays. Once identified the tools then display a graphical representation of the switching system PCB assembly, highlighting the relays that need to be replaced.

Additional switching products being highlighted in the booth include:

PXI BRIC Family of Large Matrix Modules and Multiplexers – With Pickering’s BRICs, the use of high-density packaging and integrated backplanes enables a large matrix to be implemented with no user configuration or special matrix expansion kits. These matrices use thru-hole relays (not surface mount) and can be serviced using standard de-soldering tools simplifying repair and reducing downtime. Our BRIC's integrated design ensures high matrix performance with high signal bandwidth and fewer system implementation errors. 

PXI Microwave Multiplexer (40-784A) – This module supports one, two, or three microwave multiplexers, and the multiplexers can be ordered as either 4 or 6-way multiplexers. The multiplexers fitted to each model are characterized for bandwidths of 6, 18, 26.5, or 40 GHz and have excellent performance and switch life throughout their frequency range. All models occupy just two 3U PXI slots and feature LED’s that indicate which path of the multiplexer is closed.

PXI Precision Resistor Module (40-297) – This 18-channel Resistor Module provides a simple solution for applications requiring accurate simulation of resistive sensors. This series is available in a variety of resistance ranges and resolution capabilities that meet the needs of most functional test systems. It is particularly well suited for applications such as the testing of engine controllers where resistive sensors provide information on parameters such as temperature.All the PXI modules can be used in any PXI chassis, can be fitted to PXI hybrid slots in a PXIe chassis and can also be used in Pickering’s LXI Modular chassis for users preferring control via an Ethernet port.

LXI RF Matrix (60-771) – integrated RF matrix suitable for use up to 2.4GHz in a 50-ohm transmission line system. The matrix design permits any single Y input to be connected to any single X input, permitting the concurrent connection of eight RF paths. All signal paths are bi-directional permitting any connection to be used as an input or an output. Matrix configurations are available in 8 X 8, 16 X 8, 24 X 8, and 32 X 8.

Also in Pickering’s booth you will find a demonstration of the partnership between Pickering and OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES, one of Pickering’s trusted hardware partners. They will provide a demo of how the two companies are partnering to improve the flexibility and lower the cost of Fault Insertion Testing for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) applications, and how fault insertion can be applied to test an automotive ECU.
